About Natalie
Hello, my name is Natalie Reid. I am a Graphic Design major at Angelo State University with a minor in Communications. I love all mediums of art whether it be Ceramics, Acrylic painting, Sculpture, Digital art, etc. I do it all. My passion for art has been prominent all my life, but I didn’t start taking it super seriously until 2020 when the Pandemic hit. I started just doing simple acrylic paintings from Pinterest and then my passion grew from there, I painted every single day. I started learning the correct methods and started experimenting with different mediums. I love using texture and bright colors for most of my pieces.
My art is mostly very colorful, but I am very flexible and I always like to try new mediums and methods. I believe in breaking the rules, especially when it comes to art. I want to grow as much as possible as an artist. For example, I am currently working on creating tattoo designs. I am always open to constructive criticism and honest opinions. Without the truth, it is hard to grow as an Artist.
I mostly post my art on Instagram, and I have done vendor shows in the past that have been successful. Art is my passion and I want to share that passion with others. Art has helped me significantly in my life and I believe it can help others as well. I have dealt with Anxiety and ADHD issues for the majority of my life, and art has become a healthy coping mechanism for my self-expression and overall mental health. And I fully believe it can help others as well. I plan to get my Master's degree in either Art Therapy, Museum Curation, or Sculpture. By getting a Master's in one of these areas I can help spread the joy of art to communities and individuals.
Some fun facts about me: I am 20 years old, I love cats, my favorite color is pink, and I am very ambitious.
