About Molly

Molly Kate Burnside was born and raised in San Angelo, Texas, and graduated from Texas Christian University with a degree in Design Studies. She began her painting career while working as a designer in Denver.

Drawing from her background, her work depicts themes of nature and the southwest in expressionistic styles, and incorporates the use of organic pattern and texture into her pieces. Her work also tends to have a graphic quality, thanks to her deep-seated love of illustration and visual communication. She has recently started experimenting with wool and felt as a sculptural medium, a tribute to her family’s multi-generational association with the wool industry. She currently lives in San Angelo with her husband, dog, and three cats.
